Ever dreamed of playing for Cape Town City FC? How about the DHL Stormers or Cape Cobras? Well if you are an avid FIFA 20 player, now is your chance.

The African Cyber Gaming League (ACGL) have announced a FIFA 20 tournament series featuring athletes from three of Cape Town’s top sports teams – the DHL Stormers, Cape Cobras and Cape Town City FC.

Each of these teams will be inviting players to take part in its own FIFA 20 esports challenge to crown its individual club champion.

The top eight players from each challenge will then go on to represent their respective club in the #3Teams1City Super Challenge.

Players can choose to compete in any of the qualifiers (i.e. the DHL Stormers, Cape Cobras, and/or Cape Town City FC), thus increasing their chances of qualification.

The #3Teams1City Super Challenge will consist of a total of twenty-four players, drawn into four groups, with the top two finishers in each group moving to the knock-out stages.

The first qualifier for the DHL Stormers Esports Challenge kicks off on Saturday 20 June at 14h00. The Cape Cobras Esports Challenge will be on 21 June at 14h00 and Cape Town City FC’s Citizens challenge kicks off on Saturday 27 June at 14h00. The final event will be held on 24 August.

A host of prizes have been announced by organisers, EsportSA. The combined cash prize pool is currently at R10,000, with prizes to the value of R200,000 up for grabs. Other prizes include hampers from BLK, UMBRO and Six Gun Grill, as well as Coca Cola and Powerade products, and signed team merchandise.

The tournament will be played on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The entry fee per qualifier is R50, with each participant receiving an online voucher to the value of R200 from www.sportsa.co.za

If you would like to enter, sign up on the ACGL website www.acgl.co.za, create a profile and choose the qualifier that you wish to enter.
